Public Computers

There is no charge to use our public computers or our Wi-Fi.

Customers are prohibited from using library computer workstations or Wi-Fi to display text or graphics that may be considered obscene or harmful to minors, pursuant to state and local laws. While accessing the internet at the library, you must comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws. By using our computers, laptops, or Wi-Fi access you agree to abide by Shaker Library’s Acceptable Use of the Internet policy and Code of Conduct.

We provide free, unsecured, public computers and wireless internet access for public use. The Library is not responsible for any loss of information or damage to your device that might result from using the library's equipment, network, Wi-Fi, or other facilities of the library. To protect the information on your personal device, we strongly encourage the use of security measures such as virus protection software and a personal firewall. Security measures are the sole responsibility of the device user.

You can use available power outlets wherever the cord does not present a trip hazard or block access for customers or staff. Bring a fully charged battery in case electric outlets are not available.

No. Free Guest Passes are available at the Tech Hub desk.

Please use headphones when using sound and don't use speaker phone when making calls. If you need headphones, we sell earbuds the Check Out Desk—ask library staff for details.

While we can’t change your device’s network settings, hardware, or guarantee compatibility with our Wi‑Fi, we’re glad to point you to helpful resources—like your device’s manual or the manufacturer’s support—for next steps.
