Tech Expert sessions are designed to help customers with basic technology training and troubleshooting questions.
This service is not intended to provide device repair, data recovery, or technical support.
Shaker Heights Public Library policies, including the Code of Conduct, Acceptable Use of the Internet, and the Creative Spaces Terms of Use apply to all Tech Expert sessions, including Tech Expert one-on-ones and Tech Expert open hours.
Shaker Library makes every effort to assist customers to the best of its ability. However, there is always a possibility of data loss or device damage during Tech Expert sessions. By attending a Tech Expert session, the customer agrees to release Shaker Library from responsibility for any harm, loss, or damage that may come to the customer’s personal device, software, or data as a result of services provided by Shaker Library.
- Shaker Library reserves the right to refuse to assist with requests that fall outside of the scope of this service.
- Tech Experts cannot provide medical, financial, or legal advice or assistance
- Session extensions or follow-up one-on-ones may be offered at Shaker Library’s discretion, depending on staff availability and customer need.
- Repeated failure to attend a scheduled one-on-one without advanced notice may result in a suspension of Tech Expert scheduling privileges.
- Shaker Library reserves the right to cancel or reschedule Tech Expert sessions without notice.
