Middle Search Plus

Middle Search Plus provides full text for nearly 140 popular magazines for middle and junior high school research. All full text articles included in the database are assigned a reading level indicator (Lexiles), and full text information dates as far back as 1990. Middle Search Plus also contains 84,011 biographies, 83,472 primary source documents, and an Image Collection of 192,999 photos, maps and flags. This database is updated daily on EBSCOhost.

This reference contains many topics, each with an overview (objective background/description), point (argument) and counterpoint (opposing argument). Providing a balance of materials from all viewpoints, it includes over 1,300 main essays, leading political magazines from all sides of the political spectrum, newspapers, radio & TV news transcripts, primary source documents and reference books. It also offers guides for writing position papers, developing arguments and debating. This database provides the basis from which students can develop persuasive arguments and essays on multiple sides of an issue, better understand controversial issues, and help to develop analytical thinking skills.
